Tractor Supply carries the tires, though they've doubled in price in 2 years. I got one for $25 in 2010, now they're closer to $50. Online may be cheaper. I'd like to know about rims myself... I hate the split rims, but love the stock size. I know Dr.ATV has 8", but no 7".

Bump, I'm looking as well. Or I'd take 8's if I could get them with stock-ish looking knobbies, I don't care for the Holeshots look.

I have a set of rims from a recent 70 purchase. They are drilled for the 3 hole ATC 70 hub. They have lawnmower tires on them now. I will post pics when I get home from work.

I gave up and went with 8" aluminums and the holeshot look a likes on my extended frame 70. I guess I could have waited as the piranha 150 is on back order for 90 days:wondering

Hmmm, Mr. Clean those are tempting!
I've been doing a little research. It looks like Sterdy is out of stock on the 7 inch loose wheels as mentioned earlier. BUT it looks like they do have them with Shen Ching knobbies mounted which is exactly what I want but the price is out of this world. http://www.sterdyproducts.com/productcart/pc/viewPrd.asp?idcategory=37&idproduct=128
But this is real interesting. Here's a Kart site that has 7 x 6 Douglas aluminum wheels with 3" backspace. Thats the exact size of a stock ATC70 wheel. http://www.cometkartsales.com/store/wheels/dougalum.htm If you add them to your cart they get even cheaper than advertised. You can get all 3 for about $100! So I guess I could always just drill new holes for the ATC70 pattern which wouldn't be that bad. The ATC70 pattern is 3 on 100, these wheels are 3 on 63.5. Or I wonder if Douglas would sell them with no lug pattern drilled? Could we do a group buy on them? At $100 per set I'm sure there would be TONS of interest. At that price I'd definitely be down for 9 of them to get this off the ground, or maybe more.
I just called Douglas and they do custom wheels with a minimum order of 24. The guy who handles custom wheels was at lunch so I have to call back.

Damn that wouldn't be a bad price I ended up getting some from sturdy. They only saved 2lbs per wheel over the stock steel wheel I wish they were lighter

Which wheels did you get? I called douglas and they don't make 7 inch wheels. The ones listed above are listed incorrectly. They are actually 6 by 7. Back to the drawing board!

I saw this pic on another site. Looks like 7's and stock style tires to me, thats exactly what I want. The rears are 4 lug. I wonder where these came from.

TRX450 hubs. 4x110 bolt pattern. Looks like 8" rims. Probably 18x9.5x8 knobbies. All guesses on my part.
I'll have to look at my 70 - it has some stock size non Ohtsu knobbies on it. Although I think you can get the Ohties new still.

Does your ATC70 have 7" aluminum wheels?

the 4lug could've came from www.hondaatc70.com they list the 8x6 Douglas rim $55, but they only show the race cut style for $25 more in their pics. from their description i'm going to say they've got the stock 3lug in alum. from what i can tell. you would need to call to be sure though.
We have wheels and tires for the ATC70's, both stock 3 bolt pattern, or 4 bolt standard or race-cut wheels, polished or powder coated satin black.

I found some more but they are out of stock. The manufacturer is now only shipping them in black. Crap. They are the correct size and they are aluminum.

I looked everywhere I could and came up empty. Id be happy if they were even a different bolt pattern. I have no problem just drilling new holes.

I have recently contacted my wheel manufacturer about spun 7" alloy wheels and they informed me they can do it. There is tooling costs involved as it is not a normal size or bolt pattern plus there is a minimum build of 100. I would have to be very certain of moving some sets before I commit to this.
I will work out freight costs as well. Maybe a bulk deal can be had in freight to one place and then distributed from there.
At this point it looks around $70 -75 each plus freight. .160 thickness, 6061 T6 poilished aluminum, correct bolt pattern.149763
This image is sample of their work.
Let me know if there is any interest.

greenhuman- It would not hurt to look in to and I want this as much as anyone else, but here are my honest thoughts. I think theres gonna be a lot of interest but probably not enough for 100 of them. I know completely custom parts cost money but thats the absolute ceiling of what I would pay, I'm not 100% sure I'd even go that high. I think the price is going to be out of most peoples budget. There are Chinese 7" aluminum (black) ATV wheels out there for around $35 each, there must be some way to cut the price down.
Inland ATV is constantly selling Douglas 8 inch aluminum wheels with the ATC70 bolt pattern with hole shots mounted on ebay for $265 shipped. I don't like the Holeshot look so I contacted them about different tires. They can do knobbies for $20 less! Thats $245 shipped for aluminum wheels and tires. The main reason I wanted 7's instead of 8's is I wanted knobbies not Holeshots. And it looks like that has been remedied.

I don't have the slightest idea. I would think so but at most maybe make new spacers to recenter the wheel? I really have no clue, just guessing. That same place used to have them aluminum colored but their supplier just stopped making those, figures. I would have tried those for $132 shipped for all 3. What a deal.

Blown 331

I have not contacted ITP. I'm not sure on steel, but I'm not interested in those. I already have steel 7s. Lol.
greenhuman
06-30-2012, 08:36 PM
Those wheels are steel, I would bet your testicles on that!
The company I deal with manufacture ITP's alloy wheels so if 7's were available to ITP they would available to me as well and they are not.
The wheel I want to get made will have the wide bead hump the same as the TRX70 so you can run the best 70 tire, the Ohtsu.

I was thinking it would be cool to get 2 piece aluminum rims. I really like the ability to mount and dismount tires easily at home. Easy to make for the manufacturer as well, they only have to make half a wheel and no welding.

I have fitted the standard ohtsu's to 8 x 8 alloy rims before. Just took out the rings and on they went. They are a bit soft on the bead but looked OK.
