Anyone chrome dip a frame?

I have had my 86r for years, and bout ran out of things to do to it. I have recently bought and stripped down a 85r frame with intentions to send it to the chromer. Just curious if anyone had done it before, and roughly how much it cost. And yes I ride it hard, it just that my favorite color is clear:crazy:

Never chromed a frame yet but everything thing else on my bike is chrome. The problem is that the chroming dose not last. About 10 years ago they banned a few chemicals in the plating process and the plating just dose not seem to last. It like to flake and also rust will come through the chrome. The only other issue is sand blasting will dull the chrome if you are doing and dune riding. Like you my favorite color is chrome as well.
