someone I know has a badger and its been sitting for about 3 months.I voulntered to try to get it running.I poured out the old gas and rinsed the tank out, made sure the petcock was clean, checked the fuel line, and checked to see if it has spark.the before him abused it,but it ran.the electric start does not work.we just push it and drop it into gear.could the timing be off??it has weak spark but should be strong enough to make it run.any ideas on how to get it running?

ya, try sandblasting the spark plug, thats what i did on my atc200, and it started on the first pull.

Take the airbox off and squirt carb cleaner in there and give it a push start . If it runs then dies after a couple tries , there is a fuel delivery prob

well, if its got weak spark, try the coil packs, they may need cleaning or replacing. if the coils are good, try replacing the spark plug, or check for fuel delivery. there should be a drain on the bottom of the carb that opens with a flathead screwdriver. if fuel comes out, then the engine is probly getting fuel. if its got spark and fuel, pop the carb open to see if it needs cleaning. peace, Tony.
Sandblasting plugs isn't the best idea out there, but if you do it clean it off REAL good with carb cleaner or gas. Are you saying you can push start it to get it running, but not pull start it? If that is the case, you have low compression caused by one or a combination of the following: worn rings, worn piston, worn bore, worn/leaking valve seals, leaky head gasket. Good luck to you!

The electric start is boken so we push it and drop it into gear. No,we can't get it running at all.I went out there and now it won't even get spark.and he won't spend any money on it at all(not even get a new spark plug). That ride is trashed now,(he went nuts with a can of red anodized spray paint, and I wanted to throw up!).Anyways, thanks for all the ideas anyway.
