We need to start a P3 registry here on 3ww, I now want to know how many are here! I know howdy has like 6, I have 1, Tim Keister had 1, Swineheart has 1, you have 1, and I know there is at least 3-4 other that have popped up on here recently.

So what do you think John, create a registry? I mean this is one of the rarest trikes among the big producers, so I think we should pay some homage to them on here by seeing how well represented they are on here.

I've got one! Probably just about the best $150 I ever spent. It's currently stripped down and ready for a rebuild.

So I can start the registry if y'all want. I can compile a spreadsheet with owner name, location, year and serial number then we can design the registry from there and talk Billy into incorporating it into the site.

If yall want, shoot me a PM with the information above and I will start the spreadsheet.

Yep, I have 6 P3's right now. My best guess is that only 4 of them will make it onto trails. I might be able to save the other 2 but it will take a lot of $$ for parts / repair and even more time.

When you have a "Fleet" you also end up with these things:
Owner manual,
shop manual,
warrenty manual,
sales video,
spare parts,
and a little knowledge. lol

Yes, I have all the above!!

Problematic area's ( things that tend to go bad ) include:
electric starter ( takes about 3-4 hrs to replace properly ), You can find replacements for under $80. You litterally take the machine apart to remove the one little bracket. You have to remove the Rear rack, rear fenders, outer clutch cover, clutch, and inner clutch cover, ect. It is by far the worst P.I.T.A. you will find. Yes, you need special tools to remove the clutch. I'm talking to a company and trying to do a quanity buy cheaper. I'm thinking 5 spare starters for myself. I have to replace 2 that I know of.

Upper back motor mount ( always check all of them ). If the top one goes bad the motor will shift side ways slightly and it will cause inner and outer clutch cover wear ( These 2 parts are over $150 new ). I need 7 of these myself and am trying to figure out how to improve the design without going nuts on cost.

Swing arm bushings: No longer available from Polaris. I had a few sets made ( from improved material ) and yes, I sell them.

Rear brake cable: They tend to break or get gummed up and don't work. Yep, you guessed it. No longer available from Polaris ( 2 used ones on ebay $125 & $99 USED!! ). I am lucky to have found a place to get them re-made and should have 10 NEW cables in about 2-3 weeks. Price looks to be around $75 -$80 range. I will pay less for a New cable than a used one on ebay ( No brainer there ).

Tank emblems: No longer available from Polaris. If your missing one / 2 don't fear new ones are in the works.

Tranny knob ( for putting into reverse, neutal, and forward ): discontinued as well. These will be re-made in the future as well.

Drive belt: I have 2 bad and haven't looked into finding a great replacement yet. When I do, I plan on keeping 2-3 extras on hand.

I know your on the other side of Ohio, but maybe one Saturday ( will be 2-3 weeks before I have a free Saturday ) you could bring you machine over and we could go through it and fix what needs fixing. ;)

Howdy, I picked up the Dayco HP-2003 drive belt for mine as a spare. It is a little cheaper than the Polaris 3211077 belt, and can be ordered by almost any auto parts store. I got mine from Auto Zone.
