the quotes are because i found it like columbus found america lol. anywho its some nice trails out near Conway new hampshire, there decent, not too rocky, some cool hill climbs, whats super cool about it is its the site of an ancient granite quarry, with machinery dating back to the 1800's so there is some cool things to look at too. as soon as i get my truck going the 3 wheeler is getting loaded in the back and i am gonna do some riding there. heres some pics

What do you know about the legalities of riding there?

well they are all marked snow mobile trails, so, I would venture to say with the appropriate tags everything is a-ok, but i dunno how NH does their thing..... anyone care to answer that?

I do know that the local snowmobile clubs
tend to frown upon atv use of trails they maintain
despite not owning or acting on behalf of the
landowner but that's a rant for another day.
I happen to be close by, what are the coordinates? I'd like
to check the place out.
If this is a site of local historical significance, there is a good
chance the sled folks may have had to pledge their first born
to the histerical society just to transit the area.

I was going to push that button on the gps, but i figured better not make it easy for the modern types that tend to wreck places like this, so if your in north conway, real easy. its behind the fire station

Okay,
Gave the friendly folks at the conway ranger station a call, heres what I got, the area is private land, so the normal private posted no tresspassing stuff applies, of which I saw only one on a gate at one point that says only foot travel past this point. and an interesting note, there is NO riding on forest land, which is marked using 2 ways, a yellow sign, (of which I didn't see any) and a red stripe on trees (a few of which I did see) marking a forest boundry. and I only saw a few on the sides of some very small trails, that wouldn't be too fun to ride a 3 wheeler on anyways, so from the horses mouth, A-okay as long as ya have the NH ohv tag, which is freaking $75 bucks, gonna see if I can find that cheaper....

you should come to our rides in troy, NH first. We have a tight knit crew that rides every 6 weeks. Our rides are not really family friendly, we ride like a hairscramble and party it up.
Its a long ride up there to conway for an unknown outcome. I have been to most legal ride spots in this state and NH has the best offering in northeast. the 75 bucks keeps the legal spots open....... remember that.
rail trails are somewhat sacred, so be careful. all you need is a walker with a cell phone.
legal railtrails are in hillsboro, derry and newton (sugar river - 20 miles flat out rip). check out nhtrails bureau website for maps and details and places to go. Powerlines are somewhat fair game too.

If anyone wants to ever come up to the Berlin atv area, we have around id say 100 miles of rideable trails. Theres even a trail that rides right down the road (on it) and right into town for gas and food, and accross town. If anyones interested, let me know and id be willing to guide. trails dont open in nh untill may 23rd, but after then were golden.
