Did you think this through for a second? Do you have any concept of how an engine works?

I think 1upfront had one he was playing with. He took the outside can off the lc crank to fit it in the cases. I had 2 stock cranks stroked to 69mm and they had to cut the rod alot to get it to clear the cases. I couldn't imagine going much bigger than 69mm. 72mm would surely cause problems but I guess you could trench out the cases to make room but if I was going to change the stroke on a air cooled R I would just send a stock crank to Crank Works for them to work their magic. They can stroke it to what ever size you need and they do great work.

wow harsh words just proves to me how far inside the box you think... any thing can be done just depends on how much work it will take to be worth it or not.

Yeah, I'm such a closed minded guy.

I'm being serious here, how much do you know about these two engines?

i know that the timing marks for the fly wheel are the same the width are the same the bearing sizes are the same. the liquid R is a full circle crank while the Air R is not. the liquid crank drive end is a little longer but can be machined down.and the liquid crank will drop into the fooler cases with modification.... what mods will actually need to be done to have it actually work now that is an answer im looking for

Dug this up with a search. They had a fl350 cylinder on it also.http://www.3wheelerworld.com/showthread.php/93897-250r-to-380r-monster

i would think it would be cheaper to just stroke the stock crank. the treads will be the wrong direction also because the 85 crank going in the opposite way as an 84 then there's all the mods to the weds and cases.
