I have a similar engine in my white 84 200x. I had to make a few mods to fit:
- trim the crossmember under the engine to clear the oil drain plug
- trim the drive sprocket cover to clear the frame
- made my own wire harness based on the donor dirt bike harness
- adapt a 350X brake pedal since the 200x pedal pivots on the engine (1st 3 pics)

I made brackets to install a 400EX battery box - you can see it in the pictures. I don't have a good picture with it all together.

My engine is the OHV model not the OHC model. I was a little concerned until I rode it. It rocks and will smoke my stock 84 200X.

Reliable? I don't know. My son and I have hammered the piss out of it on rocky trails and in the sand dunes. We smoked the clutch once but that was a combination of rider error and builder error - I did not get the adjustment right when I built it and my son did not really know what a slipping clutch feels like until it would not move.

I thought I had a build thread but I cannot find it.

I love the e-start and I thought I would hate it.

A good thread here:

I run a Bassani pipe - it sounds awesome so I'm motivated to pound on it even more.

i am looking at pulling ym valueable performance motor out of "the beast" (my 200x) and droppign in one of these for a while so the wifey can ride something easier. these engines are even easy to convert to semi-auto.
