This is the second time I went to put together a bottom end and have the wrong gaskets. 1st my 200x that the package plainly said 86-87 atc 200x but the gaskets didn't fit and now my tecate that I ordered a complete gasket kit for but it didn't have the center case gasket.

Tecates, like tri-z's dont require a case gasket.

That's the reason I tore it down. The case was leaking where they go together. I thought it was weird that they didn't have a gasket in between the cases when I tore it appart. It's probally going to leak again if I put it together without a case gasket. It needs something to seal it up.

It should have three bond, yama bond, honda bond or whatever you prefer, they are all the same. Give each side a thin even coating, allow a few minutes for it to "tack up" and stick the two halves together. I have used 3 bond, and never had any problem with it leaking, its one heck of a seal! It looks a lot like grey silicone, but dont substitute it for anythine else!

I use yama/honda bond works great. My brother had a 225 back in the 80s and we tore it down to do the tranny .We noticed it didnt have a center gasket .When we went to the Yammy dealer to get one they said it didnt use a center gasket and they sold us a tube of yamabond and said this is what the factory uses.
