May 12th 2012 kick off ride, Pipeline Suring Wisconsin

Well we are about a month away and time to set some things in stone.
The ride will be on May 12th and pull out between 9:00 and 9:30 am. if you show earlier that is fine I would suggest it even. time for people to get to know each other and put faces with names.

Your atv must have a current Wisconsin trail pass.
Must have brakes.
Must be able to be riddin safely and mechanicly sound and not breaking down, ( everything breaks down once in a while i understand, just do not want some beater atv that should not be riddin out of your yard holding up an entire group) I know you all understand.
MUST wear a helmet!!
for this ride you do not need the liscence plate yet, ( that law starts July 1st) I may have them on mine by then and would suggest you do the same, one less reason to get pulled over and inspected. The plate has to be minimum 4 inchs by 7 1/2 inchs. It needs to be white with black letters and mounted on the back of the atv, yea I know good luck mounting them were they won't get destroyed or block the taillight. these plates are your responsability to have and make, the dnr does not supply them.

As of right now a cook out is not planned, there are to many people saying they are going, to have my wife cook for all of us. There is a great little restrant/bar across the field from me. We can eat lunch there. This may change, if people want a cookout and bring some food and charcoal it can happen, I have a few grills to use. If we do eat and do lunch at my house depending on the # of people I can get a porta potty also.

I have a large driveway and yard so parking with a truck and trailor is easy, I am also only 3/4 a mile off of state hwy 32 north of Suring WI. If you need directions just pm or email me. Very easy to find, about 45 min. from Green bay, 1 hour from Appleton, just over an hour from Iron Mountain MI, 45 min. from Marinette WI and a little less than an hour from Antgo. 2 hours from Wausau.
If you are a for sure just say so in this post and we will see you on the 12th.

Yes, I will surely be there. Any changes as far as needing headlight/taillight on trails? Still don't have either and don't really plan on it unless I have to.

^^ i think you're ok as long as it's not dark, as far as i know...

Headlight only has to be on when crossing state hwy's or dark. I think you have to have a taillight but not sure.

Pretty much all of the above! About the only thing there is not is sand dunes :(. About a 2 mile stretch of play are (berms, whoops, hills, mud), and some really nice winding woods trails.

less than 2 weeks out, i only have a fraction of the people that said they are coming confirmed. it has been super cold here and now raining, trails might not be to dusty. Trails open tommorrow I am probally gonna go out and check things out. I was stretching the legs on my R yesterday and trashed one of my back tires, so i need to change tires now. I am probally gonna ride my 86 200x, for the ride.

glad to here some of you guys are coming, have a few other maybe's also that have gotten intouch with me. My youngest had to go to the doctor today and I just got home. I might run out and check the trails yet tonight. If not for sure tommorrow. There are a # of atv's out today already, helps it is super nice and warmer.

My wife and I and our son went for a great ride today. The club and my township fixed some bad spots on the trails and at the end of Logan and pipeline rd were it was always flooded, not now all nice and dry. There is alot of mud and water though out there, sand area is pretty rough and rutted up, looks like trucks were out there. trails are nice and smooth with very few water holes. had a great day and ride, we might go out again later and I can take some pics. Looks like the ride this year is going to be a great one. No snow and weather is looking good. also got my R fixed had to put a new tire on. My wife is making plates for the back of some of our trikes right now, so I might even have them on for the ride. you can buy them for $15 to $20 from Gander Mountain but I have like 7 3 wheelers registered right now. So we are making them.

Wish i would have known you were out riding, I had my R out today as well, trails are great and the sand is drying out nice even with that rain we had. I am still working the bugs out on my R.

fired my trike up today for the first time since i tore it down for the resto. popped right off second kick. even fixed my near non-existant clutch issue. got my rear brakes bled today but still cant get the front to bleed out properly. im pretty excited for saturday. should be a great time.

are there plenty of spots for fuel?

Weather looks great, We are going to have some food for people in the morning, Coffee, eggs and what not, As far as gas stations there is one close but not anywhere else. My place is less than 2 miles from the sand play area. So a can of mixed brought to my place would be the closest thing. had some people back out tonight, but looks like it will be a good sized group anyways.
When you guys pull in my yard go far enough so there is enough room for every one to park. you will see the layout,

Wardens usally stay on the railroad grade or roads. no hassles at all. A few other people not in our group where taking pics I am going to try and track some of them down, and get there pics. More rides are a for sure. little red after seeing what your 200m went through i might put a 200 together just for mud. A beater that everyone could take turns on maybe.

It was great that most everyone showed up for the ride. Had a great time and wish I was getting ready to go again today but getting ready for work instead. After this week I will have Saturdays off so hopefully we can get together again. Going one tooth up in the fron t. I was a little slow with those 18's I put on. I also have to repack that silencer before I go out again.

had my trike out again today, showing some quads how its done. itching to get back up by suring and hit those trails. got a few buddies that want to ride. just gotta get a lil freetime n load up the machines.
loved checking out that tecate! first one I've ever seen in person. n those TRI-Z'S were wicked too.
thanks again for the hospitality. had a great time n it was awesome to see all the trikes out ripping around and everyone else on the trails staring n smiling. was a great way to get my first real ride in since I finished my first build
