I finally got this project done. Would like to thank John Swinehart for hooking me up with this 70. From the time I got this in 2009 and now I have had two shoulder replacement surgeries and have had custody of our 15 month grandson for the last year. I have been busy. This will be waiting for our two grandsons when they get a bit older.14507814507914508014508114508214508314508414 5085145086

Wow!! Your begining pictures look almost exactly like the one that I picked up over the past fall. Nice job!! Makes me want to dig mine out and get started on it, but I'm still collecting parts for it.

Do all 70s have the flame on the tank? I see them a lot and I always wondered about that

Thanks for all the nice comments. Things like this keep me going in the cold winters we get up here in Northern MI. I have a 78 ATC 90 that is my next project. They will need something to grow into when they are to big for the 70.

145530145531Before anybody craps their pants about no helmet, he was just sitting on it. As you can see it will be awhile before he rides it. His feet only reach the motor. I figure about two more years or so.

147084This is a picture of the grandson sitting on the 70. He gets on it and pushes what he can reach. I take him for rides on it so I got this bicycle helmet for him. Couldn't find a regular helmet small enough.

i'd say the helmet is good for now IMO. i wear a full face bmx helmet myself. everything i have is no faster than when i raced a bmx bike, so i figure for now it's good enough for me.
