Got my axle back last week from Coating Technologies Inc. Had it NP3 coated. Electroless Nickel Teflon (PTFE). This finish is commonly used as a high-end finish on firearms and aerospace parts. I figured since this is the 'Charizard' of axles for the 86 200x, why not give it special treatment. :)

The bike should be going back together in the next few weeks. Everything else is back from powder. Will start a build thread when it starts going together.

Wow, that came out very nice!

I have only seen 3 or 4 of these. I grabbed one when I had an opportunity to go with the crate motor. I do need a sprocket hub and I'm unsure of my options there.....

Thanks Dirtcrasher. That clip holding on the sprocket hub was a ba*tard to get off! It is 3x as thick as the stock one on the brake side. I can get you measurements on the width of the sprocket hub if you need it. It is aluminum. I had it blasted because it was a mess. Turned out good. I'm gonna need to coat it. I think Durablue makes a hub for their new Honda axles that may work for yours. The width looks similar.

^ I was poking around durablue and it looked like the sprocket hub alone was about 170$

But, we all know the deal by now; If you want to play you've got to pay! :D

If it didn't have splines I'd make the damn thing. I do have a rotary table, maybe I could make a broach; Probably easier to buy though
