The 69 engine would be an SL90.

I assume the S90 clutch stuff doesn't work on the atc90-110's. So what keeps peeps from building one of the S90 motor's rather than the atc's? no performance stuff?

You can use the s90 clutch stuff, it's fine. The mounting points for the clutch cables are different. Some people are just hung up that it's gotta be sl90. I stripped down an s90 for all the clutch and trans parts.

The easy way to tell the difference is the s90 has a removable cover at the clutch basket for easy access to the clutch and the sl/cl90 is one solid clutch cover .

All the parts in the S90 internally are the same as the SL90. I've physically crossed all the part numbers.
