Hello from WNY

Hi all! I've got an '85 Kawasaki KLT 160 that I bought used last September. I joined hoping I could learn more about the trike and hopefully get 'er up and running. It's got a few issues and I've already got some parts on the way to actually be able to ride it. Currently I don't have any pics of it yet as it's in the back of the garage and only has 2 wheels.

Hey, I have owned a 1985 Kawasaki 160. I never knew it, but that trike was only built that one year. I had a lot of fun times on that three wheeler. I owned it for about 4 or 5 years. That was a really good three wheeler. The only problems that I experienced with it was that we could never get the three wheeler to idle and when we first got the bike the oil level too high and it ran funny (my dad bought it from the original owner in 1987). Once we realized the problem with the oil level, it ran fine. I would love to see the pics if you get a chance.

I'm a little bummed that it's one year only. But by doing a search on here I found out that some stuff from the klt 110 and klt 185 will swap onto mine, so it gives me a little hope.

..........:lol: I'm sorry that the oil and spark plug questions get weeded out.maybe if they didnt it would be busy enough for you. it's regional site and is focused on wny. the whole site has moved recently aswell. the old site gets more traffic than the new because .... ? It's not my site but I do support all riders especially local guys no matter what they ride. Local rides do get planned there and some areas are always open to ride on. rides are not easy to plan and are usually short notice but if if is announced you can count on people showing.
