I posted a thread about this game before but it got lost in one of our "site meltdowns" a couple of months ago. It's an online game you play on the computer "live" with other players. Matches of 14 or 15 tanks per team. It's a VERY involved game and there is a LOT to learn. You start out small time and work your way up.
There are 5 types of weaponry and they are-
Light tanks (scouts)- They "spot" the enemy vehicles so the artillery and tank destroyers (along with the rest of your team) can see where to shoot.
Medium tanks- They're usually faster than the heavies and more maneuverable. They pack a punch but not quite as much as the heavies.
Heavy tanks- Slower than most tanks but heavily armored and with massive firepower.
Tank destroyers (what I command)- TD's stay back and lurk in the shadows. They are a really good defensive tool and most pack quite the wallop. If they're snuck up on they can be easily destroyed though and are better off firing over long distances to tanks that don't even know they're there.
Artillery- I think most people know how artillery works. Very frustrating when you get blown up out of nowhere.
You start out with a small machine at tier 1. As you work your way up the tiers the tanks get bigger, more powerful, and more expensive, until you reach the highest tier which is tier 10. I currently have 4 Russian TD's (tank destroyers). A tier 3, a tier 5, a tier 6, and a tier 7.
I know there are other members of 3ww on there, I just ran into one today.
I would highly recommend this game if you've got the time to commit and the patience to learn while being beaten to death. It's very easy to get killed and you have to learn how to hide, how to equip your machines, how to train you crew, etc, etc... There is a LOT to it, like I said.
