So i should be picking up an 83 tri moto 175 tonight for 175 bucks. supposed to be all good to go except pull starter needs rewound and the air assembly is missing. Dosnt look liked ited be too hard to put a cone right on the carb. its got an aftermarket front fender and headlight which looks really ugly but.. meh. Seem like a good deal, anything i should know? Ive never owned a yamaha, or a 2 stroke before. I mix up a 32:1 synthetic blend for my chainsaws, would that work in this trike or do i need oil made specifically for motorcycles. Thanks147468. Btw I have a kingquad 250 that is bulletproof and pretty mint, this is just something to beat up over the summer, and so I dont have to ride double on my quad. Would this be good for something that requires low mantenence?

The people you meet on CL... he told me he didnt want to sell it to me because " i texted him too much". I texted him 7 times, 1 of those being a response to him saying to tell him if i decide for sure i want it. No trike then i suppose

My own opinion on texting to do buisness is just dont do it. Never turns out right. I personally hate it when someone text messages me. Its almost always a waste of time. jmho

Sorry to say it, but I hate when people do that to me when I'm selling something too. Why would you need to text him 7 times?
Quit kicking the tires and go get it already...!!

I'm not sure what you mean by "beat up" but if your looking for something to just tear up let someone else buy it that will respect it. But if your not going to trash it then heres my suggestion. Call him with a different phone and talk to him. How is he going to know its you? He will think its someone else interested in it then just go buy it. Simple.

Maybe its just me but i believe in doing honest business. I texted the guy who bought my 185s probably 25 times. He was very satisfied with the buy, seemed pretty shocked all the descriptions and pics were accurate. And I ended up making a riding connection, He gave me permission to ride at his place. "Oh god, i have to type up a few messages as to why this guy should give me money." I'd prefer not to work with someone who changes their mind that easily.
