200x with 250sx plastic?

im told this is a 200x. it obviously says 250sx on the rear fenders. whats going on here? are they interchangeable? ive been searching for a few hours now and ive seen nothing.

Those are 200x fenders with a 250sx sticker.

I agree with Jason, 200x with a 250sx decal on the rear fender. 250sx's dont have front or rear disc brakes, or a live rear axle.

Wonder why someone would put a 250sx decal on there, so weird.

i dont see 250sx mud guards or the holes for them on the fender, also is there a trunk, 250sx had a trunk unless you have aftermarket maier plastics, but im leaning towards 200x fender with 250sx decals......but why??

Its a completely stock, original, 200x. With the sticker. Even has the original front tire still.

YUP! was an x with sx stickers. story is the previos owner was restoring an sx and had 2 sets of stickers. they ended up on the 200x for some reason.

mine now! starts like crap and wont idle... my foot hurts and im tired. carb rebuild tomorrow.

wait wait wait. something is fishy here. take a look at the pic i posted. the seat doesnt go all the way up the gas tank like every other seat i see and the plastic doesnt seem to fit around the tank right. the mounts and the release lever all seem to work ok. it just looks goofy! whats goin on here

Looks like someone either made the seatfoam, or the top portion was destroyed, so they cut it off, and recovered the seat, and did a terrible job.

Looks like the fenders are different. Both of my OEM sets have a recession on the back where the big sticker goes. Also looks like you have a 250r front rim.

oh well! price was good. the only spot of rust is some surface rust on the tank. inside of the tank looks great. it looks like ill be stocking some parts and doing a tear down this winter. ill ride it the way it is for now. ill see how my budget is (what the wife doesnt notice i spend!) and go from there. id like to go black plastics, frame, and seat with blue trim all around. but all of that would cost more then the trike did! choices choices...

well ive had this trike for a few weeks now.

i dont believe that the plastics are 200x plastics. the seat is obviously mangled but the plastics do not match the tank at all. the side tabs that hug the tank do not match, they have an odd shape to them obviously for a different tank. there is a number on the bottom that ive been meaning to look up but haven't remembered to yet.

Just get some used plastics off of ebay or craigslist. You can also buy new (maier still makes them).

that is not the original front tire because this 200x is an 83, 84, or 85. only the 86-87 had a pv 101 (the one in the pic) as the front. but i agree with everyone, a 200x with 250sx decals
