86vs88 kx500 exhaust port?

I found a pipe that's made for a 86 kx500 motor in a 86t3. Will this pipe work on my 86t3 with 88 kx500 motor. If not, can it be modified simply?

Here is the pics of like a mid 90s KX500 pipe on my spare rusty frame.... looking at this picture reminds me of the possibility of the stock pipe hitting the radiator.

I am still kicking my self for not buying a low boy pipe when I saw them. But I think service Honda makes them out of CR500 (PC or FMF?) pipe by welding KX500 flange on them for their aluminum framed KX500 conversions.
