ok. ive had this banshee for over 2 years. took it from a parts machine, to one bad mother. it was just a speed machine. and i got into riding with some friends in some quarry's around here. and i realized the banshee was too high strung for the riding i want to or need to do. just stabbing the throttle on the 'shee it would stand straight up. sure it was impressive, but not very practical. so i put it up on craigslist. for sale or trade. well yesterday i get a text from a guy saying he wanted a banshee again and had a few trades. one being a 8x8 or 2 place snowmobile trailer, a punched out 240cc blaster, or a 05 kfx 700. i inquired about the 700....long story short we met today, i got the 700 and the trailer for my banshee...the 700 is a big 700cc v twin 4 stroke. finally something i can use haha. im pretty happy with the trade. sure the trailer is beat up, but useable. and a decent quad too. he was happy because he traded his banshee for the 700 for his girl friend. she rode it once and was scared. so he wanted a banshee back. so im happy hes happy. the 700 has loads of torque. and sounds kinda like a harley when your riding it. very unique experience. the cosmetics arent up to par on the 700. but mechanically shes solid. so my intentions are fix the cosmetics and have a really good rider.

heres the 2 pics i snapped before work today. i have a new toy to tinker with this weekend lol. can you tell im excited?? lol

One of the guys we ride with has one, Muzzy exhaust, and some really good clutch work and they can be a very quick machine.Suspension is a little lacking and with the shaft drive rear hard to improve upon, but your right, it sound like a Harley with a supercharger whine. Lots of info on

I am no Kawi fan,,but these are a RIOT when setup right!! The frame geometry was inspired by Doug Roll,, Kawi tried to do it right. And they are so fun! You've got the limited marble plastics too! Too bad they're war hardened! You will LOVE this machine compared to a Banshee ALL DAY LONG !!! I guarantee it! You should have wore a mask!

lol thanks guys. yea this thing is banged up pretty bad. when he came to my place to trade he saw my tecate in the garage he knew he had to have it. i told him id sell for 1700 and he said give him a week to buy it. that is until i went to his house to drop my banshee off and pick up the paper work for the 700. everything he has has shattered plastics, grab bars ripped off from hard wheelies. so needless to say i wont be selling to him. when my tecate is near mint, id hate to see it ruined. as soon as the banshee was un loaded they were beating on it too. the guy almost rolled it right in front of me. so i got worried bout my new 700. so when i got home i checked fluids, and what not. everything is good on it. it starts and runs fine. i did have to buy a front hub for it as the one on it is bent pretty bad and wobbles when you ride it. go figure haha
but im happy because i was selling the banshee to get another 4 stroke anyways so i could be better sutied for the riding i do around here. tight trails, hills, and what not in quarries around here. like i said the banshee was to highly strung for that. ideally i was hoping to sell so i could buy a raptor 660. but i think im happier with this 700. i weigh 300 lbs, and the suspension barely squats when i get on, lmao..yea i just joined the kawieriders forum. some very good info there

yea it is a shame the plastics are busted up. but i found some non marbel plastics on ebay for pretty cheap. their orange too, when i first rode it, i was on it at a decent pace, and it kinda seemed slow. until i cracked it then the thing flat out hauls ass. and has a neat whine like a supercharger like you mentioned ross. i think im gonna like this one. i have some tinkering to do, but im not complaining

I have fr hubs if you need Steve, sounds like you already bought one though. I actually have a complete fr end, literally chopped in half @ the engine! Sad,funny ,story. A guy from VA sold it to me. There is a place down there called the Doghouse. A full repair atv/ motorcycle shop,,who is also a crackhead, literally. When Saturday afternoon comes. If he doesn't have his crack money. Everything is fair game! A guy wanted the V Force engine,,he got out the sawzall and handed it to him! Sawed this perfect 700 up ! Anyhow,I have A arm guards and such if you need. Also have a DMC silencer,,not sure if it's a single or dual. I think it's a single.

do you have a good front wheel? i checked my front end out to see if the spindle was bent, which it doesnt seem to be, but noticed he beat the crap out of the inside of the wheel when he smashed into something to bend the hub.

this thing is a blast. i cant be too hard on it tho due to a severly bent front hub and wheel. but its a completly different animal that im normally used to....i still have the habit of trying to use the gear shifter, when there isnt one on this bike haha. very nice to stab the throttle and the front end comes up on command and the bike being very well balanced you can hold the wheelie for a while too.

but now im waiting on the hub, and i bought a used rim to fix the one i have and this thing will be 100% mechanically. then ill work on cosmestics soon after my vacation coming up at the end of this month

yea. im saving money right now for my trip to florida at the end of the month for vacation,. then when i get back its game on. ill be getting pipes for it doing some cheap and easy mods. with the mods these 700's can take down a raptor 700. plenty of support and vids to back it up. yes they do have a very unique sound when piped. kind of between a harley on roids, and a monster truck.

then ill be getting a different set of plastics lol

bored at work. thought id do an update. these pictures are about a year old already, but are the most recent pics of it that i have. ive done alot of work to this, and thrown alot of money and parts at it. i replaced all the fenders. it has a pro armor front bumper thats on, but not on in this pic. i installed some nerf bars for it. it has a led taillight now, not on in pic. i installed a full muzzy super pro exhaust (heaven to my ears). did a 12 hole mod on the air box, with a twin air flow air filter. put on a trailtech vapor on it. it gives out coolant temp, rpms, speed, ambient air. pretty neat. this quad has come back from having the snot kicked out of it by a previous owner, but i got it to where im happy with it. now it has competition with a raptor 700 that i picked up about a year ago as well. haha. im gonna do some clutch work on the kfx and i think ill be gold. its a torque monster. and is a blas to ride

Looks like you set it up good, with all the right stuff. The Muzzys are the best pipes. This is my latest 1100cc over 100hp at the rear wheels!

jeez mickey. that thing is a freaking beast. i love the kfx i have now. i think maybe next winter, ill try doing a 800 kit in it. top end kits are fairly affordable, but if i do it, im gonna get a new crank installed. dont wanna mess it up. i might contact you on how to do that, as i see you know your way around these motors

If you like the power now you could just bore it to a 730 (800's have to have sleeves and the cylinders re-sleeved) with stage 2 cams and valve spring for a 70% hp gain over stock. We can also re do your crank and rods for half the cost of new with better quality bearings.

jeez i had no idea you could get that much power out of a 730 kit. i might have to look in that direction when im ready. id be nervous about doing it tho. this motor is awfully intimidating being a twin, and ohc. lots of crap could go wrong for me haha

What could go wrong....lol. NO GUTS NO GLORY!! I've rode one one time and love it, the kfx700 is a beast in stock form. Could only imagine what it's like built up. You've turned that quad completely around looks good

thanks. yea it did take alot of time and money and help to get it where it sits now. it looks better with a nice bumper on front now, instead of the beat up one in the pics. youre right its a beast in stock form. it has a little bit more grunt with the 12 hole mod, jets and full exhaust. i could only imagine with a 730 kit like mickey reccommended. maybe ill get gutsy and try building it this winter. who knows.
i havent ridden it much this year. been taking the raptor out alot. its a beast, but in a different way. i stilll like shifting gears. where as the kfx is grab some throttle and hang on
