Float question

I rebuilt the carb in my 83'200x but after the initial adjustments the gas is pouring out the bottom, float needle not seating. It was a a complete rebuild kit minus the float. The manual says to adjust the float but the float is plastic and cannot be adjusted. Looked up on dratv and can't seem to find a float only. Anyone know where to buy an oem float that can be adjusted?

You can adjust plastic floats... Have a beer, and then cut little pieces of the can out and use it as shim material. I had to do this on both my ES and SX
