Of course these types of things only happen on the week of Trikefest. But I go for ride today, park my R, and come back to it an hour later with a puddle of fuel under it and a steady drip out the intake. I am currently running without an airbox. I pop the filter off to find a pond in the carb. This carb has also leaked out of the bottom vent tube before. I took the carb apart last weekend for the same thing, and everything visually looked fine. I'm gonna pull it off again and check out the float, and blow compressed air through the fuel inlet and check for air leaks, might try to adjust that tab. I had just put this carb (PWK39) earlier this year. Its used but really clean. Anyone ever seen this before????? The week of Trikefest!!!!!!!

Get a new one and end your troubles. 85% of the time,,it's just dirty.. A piece you will never even see. But w plans,,replace it and KNOW you are fixed. the vibration from a 2 cycle wears these out . Normal maintenance here.

Thanks for the advice. I checked out the float valve and I blew air threw the fuel inlet and the valve wasn't sitting low enough and air was passing through. I bent that tab down and it seated well, no more air blew threw. Either way, I ordered a new valve, and it should be here by Thursday. I also want to replace the head gasket while I have the tank off, but thats all the time I had for it today. I will finish it in the morning.

Got it back together this morning. Carb still leaking out the vent tubes, but at least it gave me an excuse to change out that head gasket. Good thing I ordered one yesterday. Should be here by Thursday, and in plenty of time. Thanks 007
