I have been taking some time to try and re-do some things on my kawi. I have already replaced front and rear brakes, front brake cable, front wheel bearings, all 3 tires, powder coated front wheel (rears will follow), missing bolts/screws, begun replacing engine bolts, custom made a snorkel intake, and started re-finishing the plastics. I will post some pictures of a few of these.
With the plastics I am trying to get rid of the oxidation to make a good foundation for Fusion paint. I have looked into the steps for bringing the old ones back into like new condition but I am scared of burning a hole in them. This is the next best thing I could think of.

Your getting there, Just take your time and use more of a angle with the blade. I didn't heat it up I just clear coated it. Here is the link of one of mine that I did, look at the rear fenders in first pic they all where like. I did it for 3 night till I was done then I cleared them. Good luck and thanks for not just painting over it I hate that lol. http://www.3wheelerworld.com/showthread.php/145140-85-kxt250-tecate-re-done-with-pic-s
