I think I had read in a post a while ago that someone had a lightened fly wheel for the atc90, is there any pictures out there or tips on how to do it correctly?

Are you trying to gain faster revs? You loose bottom end by doing so, and unless your motor isnt hopped up a little (bigger carb, high comp piston, etc) It wouldnt really be logical. The correct way is to put it in a lathe, and turn it down a bit, and depending on the design, drill large holes on the face side of flywheel.

If you lighten the flywheel, it allows you to accelerate and decelerate faster. As for lightening it, I'm not sure exactly how it's done, but it would involve removing material.

Not possible with the Atc90 model flywheel and if you look at the flywheel you will understand why . CDI atc110 models can be lightened .

You can lighten the ATC90 flywheel.
I have seen a Jim Babbit built 180cc 90 with lightening holes drilled in the top and bottom flywheel plate.
It also had a an oil bypass system which consisted of a copper line coming from the oil pump and it was wrapped a few times around the inlet manifold then into the head. As it was a methonal burner the inlet manifold ices up and cools the oil. There was also half a spark advancer and lightened rockers. Also tiny holes drilled into the top of the piston to help push the top ring out against the bore.
All this was added to a Pauter Machine 61 x 61 crank and bore, 30mm inlet valve and dual roller Pauter head.
