:? went to little sahara last weekend, not too bad saturday morning. crowd was small thank god, but that chages really fast. we recieved no wind so the sand was really rough by late saturday and my ass could tell u about. we rode early sunday morning until i suggested to my nephew that we take a look at beaver dunes. packed up our tent and quads and made a dead run west, 2 hours exactly lately we were at beaver. unloaded and rode the perimeter real quick to ck the place out. my thoughts on this place are mixed and maybe a little on the down side. the 2 hours tacked onto my already 5.5 hour trip is a bit hard to chew for the type of riding, although it isn't crowded and rough like little sahara. we rode for about 2 hours and then went back to the truck to munch abit. we had loaded so we could head back to northeast kansas. there are a few guys in to shop that want to try something new so i will probably make 1 more trip with them but i think if i am going to spend that much time on the rode i will take a few days and head back to st. anthony idaho. talk about being spoiled that place did it and did it bad. :)

Beaver Dunes is fun for the trail riders. We experience alot more crashes there than at Little Sahara. If its just a 1 day trip I'll goto Beaver everytime, its only 1 hour away. If we are going to stay a couple days or take the kids LS is the best. My kid doesn't get around at Beaver to well.

saw u was on smokin, beaver was a wim, not to be a wimp but i would have expected running into someone on those sharp hill trails where u can't see what is coming. we will try it at least once more but i think i will have to plan trips to ls maybe on a monday and tuesday. :-D

We have had a couple real close calls at the top of some of the hills. I bothers me to be in the lead when it is busy. I must be getting old a few years ago I would have screamed up any hill at any time and nver worry if someone was on the other side.
The dunes aren't near as tall as LS but I think they are alot steeper.
Was "thumb" there? He is a local guy (Beaver) that rides a 200x. All he does is ride right around the front area and blip the throttle all day long. I guess he has had the nick name forever.
