oh my oh my, after an extensive search and pure luck i have done it i found my dads old racing 200x. i sold my first 200x as it was completely falling apart and went to a two wheeler a rm 125 after falling on my butt about 100 times i decided i needed a nother 3 wheeler i missed it to much. i saw an ad on craigslist for a 86 200x and a parts 200x so i asked if he wanted to trade he agreed so we met at the library in town and i found that it was a 85 and the parts bike was an 84. trailprotrailpro i thought o well it had a 200s engine ran great and there was a 200x motor in a box to go with it. i got it home and my dad came out and looked at them and then said wait a minute , after looking at pictures and asking the previous owner where they came from we came to the conclusion that they were my dads old bikes! the " parts" bike was my dads race bike all the parts in the box and the other was my dads 200x that he used to trail ride with. after seeing my dad smile like i had never seen before i knew what i was going to do , rebuild it to perfection. as it sits now it is a frame, seat pan, swinger, extended axle, motor all taken apart on the bench. i plan to do a full restoration on it before fixing up the other bike . i thought id never see the day i got to see his race bike .. and with a picture of the vin# to match it im in love so excited ... so where to start? any ideas ? im going crazy on this one i already got a new 12:1 wiesco ordered and a gasket set it already has a stroker crank in it and a aftermarket cam it also has a lightend fly wheel. i am going to be powder coating it any good ideas for a color? please post pics and ideas thanks, patrick

What ^ he said, try to match it up with the old color scheme. This is a great story and cant wait to follow along with this one, I hope one day to do something like this with my kids. My little brother helped with my X and that was pretty special but your build will be something that you guys will remember forever. Great stuff

if you want any ideas on different things to do take a look at my 200x thread. I have done everything you can do to a 200x motor besides lightening the crank. I keep a pretty detailed log, so feel free to borrow some ideas.
I am excited for you. I just love the 1st gen 200x's. Have fun!
