Well I've finally come to terms that I got... duped. I bought an 85 X as a resto project that seemed like a good deal at first, seeing that it came with 2 motors, which together and running easily brings 150-200$, new front tire, rolling chassis, etc etc. But heres the deal, the guy put 250SX cams in both and while doing that, didn't change out the cam chain (they were loose even with the tensioner all on them)! So one motor's top end is trashed and one motors bottom-end is trashed and needs to be gone through (Kick starter doesn't work, doesn't shift thru gears) This thing is really just a POS, swinger is trash, rear shock is done, no brakes... I'm posting this because I am in need of parts for it. I can pay w/ Paypal asap.

I'm looking for an entire rear brake assembly, or at least something that can be interchanged with it, 85 seat or cover, and just any original parts that I can find (PM with what you have) I can't give up because ATCs are my dream.

I have so much into this trike right now that the more I look at it, the madder I get. You win some, you lose some..

I'll be keeping you guys updated with the resto!

Sorry for not uploading pics of when I first got it, once I got her, I started disassembling..
Couple of pics of where I'm at now. Man, I really hate it when people put oversized bolts, or standard instead of metirc, in a hole. Tried to reverse them out slowly with the torch and they just broke. Tapping new threads. Also got the new fenders today.

Also, I didn't take out the rubber grommets because they were rotten out anyways and I have some OEM ones in the shed for her.

I've been boned a couple times on fixers just to get them home and dig into them and find out someone elses hands had been into them already and it's worse than I thought!

Sorry to say but I think you should either sell off the good stuff from this machine to cut your losses and move on.

Or keep the pile o' parts you have and find another decent priced fixer and rob from your pile..

I see bigger dollar signs trying to turn that pile o' parts into a rideable machine!!
