Theres two more problems i'm having and i was wondering if anyone might know what may be the causes. When i put the bike in gear it immediately goes into motion. So if the idle is not set high enough it stalls and if the idle is to high it takes off. Is this a clutch problem? The owner before me rigged the reverse up so that i don't have to do anything to throw into reverse could this have something to do with it? My buddy tells me it should not stall even if it is in 4th gear and i come to a complete stop. But mine will stall unless you put it in neutral.

The other problem is that i'm not getting a charge from the alternator/generator. Do you know where i should start?

Good news is the welded shifter fell off when i was riding and the splines on the bar were still good. So i threw on the shifter i had bought off ebay.

On the right side of the motor there is a small rubber cap that covers the the clutch adjuster. To loosen the clutch you will need to turn the screw counter clockwise. I was told the proper way to adjust it was toturn it clockwise until the screw feels te4nsion then back off a quarter turn. See item 19 to locate the cover to clutch adjuster.
