1980 atc 110 trans problem

atc 110 1980. got it running like a champ now trans doesnt always go into gear. goes something like this. hits 1st gear. wont go into second then gits 3rd. sometimes a faint grinding heard. any ideas? thanks

see if you can look up 'shift drum stopper'
Very common problem in the 125 but the 110 may have the prob too.

that part is still avail for under 10 bucks IF thats the prob.

May you be stuck partway between low and high?
I'm always hitting the hi lo shifter with sticks and rocks.
