Just heard from a friend in the neighborhood that a local bike shop owner had passed away. The ironic thing.....my brother bought his Tri Z from him in 86 and I recently bought the 2 speed tri zinger with the durablue axle from him just a year and a half ago. Raffa just buttoned up the motor and we drag raced it at TF with Fabio as the pilot. Raffa and I just talked and he tells me..."You gotta call that guy and see what gears he has in that rear end" as the zinger needed a little more low end. Well that unfortunately will not happen. He apparently died from Luekemia. What a great guy....as helpful as anyone could be. I think it a bit strange that Fabio was hitting the NOS on that little thing the very same time that it's creator had passed..literally. Thanks Raffa for gettin' that thing together........it was an unknown tribute to Ted. Life is just way too short. Here one day gone the next in the blink of an eye.Get busy living.....RIP Ted
Happy B-day glamy.
I often find myself pondering my own mortality because you just never know when its gonna be your time. As you get older its crazy what things start going through your head. It seems like yesterday I was ten foot tall and bullet proof and then I woke up one day and realized that I'm not gonna live forever.

x20000 on life being short.. over the past 5 years I have lost a quite a bit of close friends, not to mention the numerous legendary hot rod icons that I never met, but always wanted to.. I make sure to have the best time with the people I love, Ya can't get them back.. so make every day count help when ya can, love when ya can.. and live every minute like it may be your last! R.I.P. Dennis, Warren, Rodrick, Hope, Josiah. Y'all will be missed!

It was an absolute honor that you picked me to jockey that machine Andy. I really appreciate the opportunity and I'm sorry to hear about the original builder. I'd gladly jockey it next year as well if you need it.

You got it...its all you John!! Pretty sad, he was a hell of a guy. Brilliant...obviously. I could call him anytime and he never once said he was busy or such. I bugged the crap out of him during that build. I thought about selling it last week and had it on Clist but that ain't gonna happen..ever now. You really take some things and some people for granted. I really am going to try and get a little more busy livin' man....really!
