I have a '85 250sx. It had 22X11X8 tires on the rear. I have a set of 25X12X9 I put on it. (Same bolt pattern). Drove it up the street, and it has much more top end. Question is are these tires ok, or are they straining it to bad? I think the big reds came with 25's, but the gearing was different. Would like to leave these on, but don't want to hurt the trike. Let me know your thoughts. Thanks.

There are a few threads on here discussing this.I started one titled (rim size) sorry can't link I'm on my phone . The general consensus was that they are to much and will screw your drive train though.

I kind of thought so too. It strained it a little. I put the 22's back on.

I've been running 25's on my SX for several years now with a TRX250 rearend. With that gearing the engine is not strained. This has been a great setup for me. If you're curios about how and why I did this; follow the link in my signature under the pic.

your set up looks good including the snorkle name brand.I have checked it out in the past and honestly you came to mind as soon as I seen the question.I will probably do the same eventually. But it is more involved than just bolting on 25's
