I'm in need of a rear caliper for my 86 350x as I'm swapping it's incorrect 85 rear end out and going back to the original. I was searching and i found some talk that a cr 80 caliper is the same, also heard of a 250x and a 300ex is the same. I just want to know if this is true and if they are direct bolt on's and if so what years would work. any info would be appreciated.

The rear caliper from a yamaha banshee, warrior, or a 660 raptor is the same as a stock 350x caliper.

Are they the same as a 86 350x or are they like 85. i don't have anything to go off of here so i don't know if the brake caliper mounts are the same or not. I don't have any mounts for a 86 rear caliper.

I believe the calipers are the same between the 85 and 86 other than the mounting brackets.

Yes. 85 & 86 350x calipers are the same. The mounting on the brackets on the swingarm are different.
My 85 350x has a CR80 front caliper on the rear - as did my 84 200x. They bolt on but you give up the parking brake.

Awesome information here. Exactly what i was looking for. Just grabbed a good working cr80 caliper off ebay for $25 shipped.

how do you get the (bolt)??? off the swing arm for the caliper bracket? i just picked up an 86 350x and the rear caliper bracket has some slop on that piece that it sits on that is attached to the swing arm. it moves forward and back ward a bit more than i like to see for a caliper. looks like a bolt/bushing but has no head for a wrench or socket.
