I to this day still discover new "methods" of idiots with no common sense trying to make things or fixes work for them. I thought I had seen it all and then I came up on this. 1986 200x that was a mess to begin with. Killed every mosquito in the town it was smoking so bad. Not even sure how it started and ran. Had to take my clothes off before I got in the house - horrible burned oil smell on everything in a 200 foot area of it. Sure I saw the normals on this bike but I didn't see the Exhaust issue until tear-down. Just goes to show you that you have to inspect every single inch of a trike before you buy it. Fortunately for me I didn't need to do a thorough inspection on this one because I made a very good trade. Didn't have much $ in what I traded for this x. If you can see the pic, the exhaust flange wasn't even sealed on there. What a pain it was to get the motor out. Yes I could have just saw zalled it or torched it but I wanted to save the header.
I will have pics up in the classifieds of everything that I have left as soon as I get it completely dis-assembled. 2-3 days with the outlook. Pm me if you cant wait.
