People are always fleeing police, but usually it's in a vehicle where they have a chance to get away. That wasn't the case for Mick Brown, drummer for Ted Nugent, who tried to make his escape in a golf cart, according to the Bangor, Maine police department.

According to the police department, Brown, 55, reportedly stole a golf cart after a Bangor concert featuring Nugent, Styx and REO Speedwagon at Bangor's waterfront pavilion.

Brown, who was reportedly intoxicated, evaded several people who tried to stop him and somehow picked up two women along the way :naughty: , the department says on its Facebook page.

Party like a rock star?

probably the only vehicle he has or could afford,he is only a drummer (the lowest paid and most over looked member of a band) and for ted nugent who hasn't been relevant since???? really was he ever that relevant?

Welp, Mick Brown (The Drummer in the article) was co-founder of Dokken and also played in Lynch Mob and Exciter, as well as Tooth and Nail.
His fans knew him by "Wild" Mick Brown. I wonder why?:wondering

Lowest paid and most over looked member of the band??? Did you read that in Tiger Beat? I'm willing to bet the money is split more or less evenly amongst the members since they alll play a part in the success of the band. After the manager and everyone else gets their cut of course.

I highly doubt his is so poor he can only afford a golf cart.

He didn't own the golf cart, he stole it and was charged with DUI and theft, along with a couple of other things.

As far as Uncle Ted's relevancy, I'm not sure when you were born, he was big back in the 70's but had been performing since '58 and performed his 6000th concert on July 4, 2008. It's very possible his relevancy came before you were born. ;)

If not, maybe you just were never a Nugent fan or prefer something more along the lines of Justin Bieber?

Along with the fact that Nugent is pro-gun and pro-hunting which makes him a high profile thorn in the side of Liberal gun control wackos and anti-hunting groups like PETA. He has no problem telling them to stick it. He also supports the military and does free concerts (one with Toby Keith) for our troops. As far as I'm concerned, that alone makes him relevant.

You don't have to be on the front page of every rag to be relevant. ;)

ETA: I need to add Nugent has released more than 34 albums and has sold a career total of 30 million records. Hardly a one hit wonder or flash in the pan.

I listen to alot of talk radio and have heard alot of interviews with many bands, the drummer always gets the smallest cut and gets the rest of the bands groupie scraps. As far as teddy, he was the motor city madman not because he is so crazy he is cool but just off his rocker type of crazy.I do agree with the right to own guns and hunt ect. but I don't agree with hunting just for the sport of which he is all about. I have heard him say that he donates alot of the kills to charity but wtf is the food pantry going to do with a rabbit full of bird shot? I'm glad your a fan,I am not but it is nice to know he still has atleast one. I agree to disagree and will leave it at that

Ted Nugent EATS his kills. The kills he donates are venison. He is NOT all about killing for sport. You sir...are an idiot and need to brush up on your facts.

Good day sir.

Yea, there aren't chicks that have the hots for any drummers, so the drummers have to take the leftovers??

He doesn't just hunt for the sport of it, he eats what he kills. Hunting on a preserve doesn't mean you kill the animal and don't eat it, and it doesn't mean you are just hunting for the sport of it. It means you've paid a fee to hunt that animal, which was raised with the sole purpose to be hunted. Have you ever hunted on a pheasant farm? Do you hunt at all? Own any guns? Or do you just profess to support the right of people to own guns and hunt? As long as they hunt the way you think they should?

FWIW, I hunt and I eat what I kill. I've also hunted on game farms a couple of times, but it not by cup of tea. I don't believe in hunting for sport, I believe if you shoot it you should eat it. But if they donate it to food shelves, that counts as eating it as far as I'm concerned, since it is consumed. Even better yet, by someone who can't afford to buy their own food. Apparently to you that's a problem.

What is a food pantry going to do with a rabbit full of birdshot?. Well, what would you do with it? Just for your information, Venison is the meat that is donated to food shelves, not rabbit. But since you agree with the right to own guns and hunt, you already knew that right?
Matter of fact, in one location in your state, Food Bank of the Hudson Valley:

Venison Donation Coalition of New York State
In 2008, the Food Bank received 6,465 pounds of venison thanks to generous hunters. For information on how to donate venison and to find a processor in your county, please go to http://www.venisondonation.com

Where do you get this off his rocker stuff? Just because someone isn't afraid to speak their mind about certain things doesn't mean they are off their rocker. Is that where your resentment for Nugent comes from? Has he said something you didn't like? Maybe you dont' like what he's said about this adminstration in power right now?

Lastly, this thread wasn't about Nugent, it was about his 50 something year old drummer acting like a 18 year old kid, boozin it up, stealing a golf cart, and picking up two women while he was running from the cops. If you can't find even a small bit of humor in that, you can't be saved.

Hit the bathroom, take that knot outta yer panties and relax. ;)

Honestly, he had a couple of chicks with him most likely hot and screaming the whole way; I only wish he got to finish his evening with them :beer

I bet he still had a blast!!

Ok, Ted is cool and this guy likes to party, but more importantly was it a three wheeled cart or a four wheeled cart? If it was a 4 wheeler I say fry him, but if it was 3 wheeled we should support the man in some way. Perhaps a parody of Cat Scratch Fever using the words ♪Three Wheel Fever♪ with all proceeds going to help cover his legal costs.
