I have a cottage all booked, trailer ready to load. 350x, 250es, and 300fourtrax(wife prefers a quad) all cleaned and tuned..

Gonna do some swimming, touristy stuff and of course and some trail riding!!!

Looking forward to putting some serious miles on the 350x..

So it is a great place to vacation, but riding is scarce..no really defined ATV trails anywhere. I've been scouting the area and found only a couple places to ride without offending property owners..

I'll post some vids in the coming days..internet service is too slow here to upload.

This is a pic I took this morning..I followed an old road(barely a road) then it turned into trail and landed at the back side of the lake we were staying at. Nice spot where you could follow the rocky shore for about a 1/4 mile..

Hope you got everything you wanted out of your vacation and then some; too bad about the lack of trails. I would have thought the local snowmobile clubs would have had something in place...for a fee anyway. I guess there hasn't been much seismic or logging activity around there. Get any fishing in?

The fishing in this area isn't great..pretty heavy pressure area. A few charters to take you into the lake, but that's expensive.

The snowmobile trails are a good place and I have found a couple..as long as they are crown land, it's good..but eventually all trails ride into someone's private property. That is a no go..still looking!!

Well the week is over..a great vacation and at least enough riding to make it worth taking the machine. This region isn't exactly ATV friendly..trails are lacking but with a little recon I managed to find a couple fire roads within a short distance of the cottage.

All and all a decent break-in ride for the 350x, the newest member of my pack..

But a more challenging terrain would have been fun..oh well, perhaps another ride in Ganny is in order.

This 1st vid is the ride from the highway to the south end of Cameron Lake..

2nd vid is a short ride along the rocky shoreline..there are no cottages on this side of the lake.

Jealous..unfortunately I probably won't be able to find the time for that until fall(ish). I'll throw a date on the calender in the next week or so and see what sticks with my wife...I need a weekend pass of course because of the distance.
