did all ytm 200 use the same rear axle?

Cant read all of vin to figure out year and didnt wana order one and have it be the wrong one cos its a diff year

83 and 84 YTM200 same part no. - 21V-25381-01-00

85 YTM200 - 21V-25381-02-00

YTM200E is different.

Before 1985 there will be only 9 digits for a "VIN" on a YTM.

What's the engine serial number? Right hand side, next to the case breather hose.

i will look what the number is tomorrow and post it. As far as the vin goes i can only see 21v-2538. i hope i can figure it out i wana get this baby riding as nice as she runs i was surprised how good it ran after a good carb cleaning for a machine thats old as she is

if it only has a 9 digit does that mean i can order one from before 85 ? is ther any other way to tell from any other parts or characteristicsr

Yes, you can use 83-84. Make sure it's not a E model (Yamahauler).

For those years on a YTM, if you check the engine serial number, it should match the frame number, if it's the original engine.

i just got a ytm 200 needs rear axle thers a parts trike online will a rear axle from any year ytm work
