What is the difference from the yellow and blue Yamaha 225s? Im new to Yamaha's and don't know what year mine is. I can defiantly use some help? Are the good trikes? I pick mine up for cheap and it's in great shape. Thanks to anyone that can help. I would upload pics but I can't from my phone.

No difference between the yellow or blue, or the black for that matter..at least not mechanically. The black was a SE model..not that it meant anything.
Sure they are decent machines, not as tough as the comparible Honda (250SX) in my opinion..others will feel differently.

No, they're fantastic trikes. They're a little heavy because of the shaft drive so that slows them down a bit, but I still rode the hell out of mine. It's what I learned on. As to the 250SX comment, I respectfully disagree. I rode them back to back and enjoyed the handling of the DX much more, though I did notice a little more power in the SX. The handling difference, however, could be attributed to the tire setup on the SX. Not sure if the rears were stockers or not, but I didn't like them. The SX just seemed to have a higher center of gravity. Whether that's mathematically true or not, I don't know.

You're handling problem with the SX was definitely tires..I changed up the tires on my SX to get away from the balloon tire handling issues. I have to say the SX is my best rider for rough/mud trails..

I own both a 225DR and a 250SX. I really like both bikes but the 225DR shines and DEFINITELY has better handling in my opinion. The 250SX is a pig and kind of reminds of a tank when I ride it. But hey, sometimes I'm in the tank riding mood. People usually like to say what they have is the best thing. I own both and that is my honest opinion. I do not want to debate anyone. I just want to give my own thoughts to the man who asked the question. I have sporty tires on both btw.
