1978 xl250s need help!

So just picked this xl up and it would not fire at all anyways check evry thing that i was capable to and ended up playin with the spark advance mec i belive its called? An im not sure what to line up to theres a million splins it could go on. I think i have it close i can get the odd sputter out of her but thats it. Any help at all im preaty stuck at this point. Thanks

Sounds like you need a manual... don't know if you can find a free download or not though.

Well thanks alot. Sadly it doesnt seem to cover it for sum reason it shows how the line up the first peice but doesnt say where to put the actual magnet or w.e on the splins. Has any one ever had one apart on her? Ill open it back up tomorow and look at the manual again see what i see mabee some pictures if ne one needs them to see what i mean. Thanks alot
