This old discussion again..

Some areas like here in Ontario would pay $1500-2000 for a clean 250ES, while in Michigan they are considerably less.

Ok so besides the condition the price is dictated by what buyers in your market will pay..

A complete one down here, in good shape and running good would go for $600 all day- some folks might pay$800. Most folks will start out asking $1,000, but they end up settling somewhere around the 6 mark. It is real hard to say without pix, but no need to be a d*** about it.

In Illinois a nice clean shiny oem '86 ready to roll will cost ya $800-$1000
'85 will cost ya about $650-$850
If you found a clean '86 jump on it- They are becoming harder to find it seems like..
I just bought my '86 all orig with title and shiny tank and plastic for $850 -
I really really depends on the condition and if it's what you are looking for

to me the 250sx isnt worth much - $450-$600 is what I see them listing for down here.. Although it seems they are listed for a while.

Yeah, its a sad truth the value of the SX compared to the ES..I know the two machines are quite different, but at the same time they are very much the same. It is a real shame that the SX is often valued at resale for 1/2 of it's big brothers going rate.

Here in Ontario, you might see $800-900 at present for your SX Jason.

Cheapest 250ES I ever got was $700 in Michigan, most expensive was $1000 also from Michigan in very good shape.

Now brought into Ontario that same $1000 BR sold a year later for $1800..

In my mind so matter where $800 is a good deal..you may want to rethink!! As time goes by they aren't going to get cheaper..

If an 250sx is selling for around 500$, it must be one piece of poo with nothing original and cracks and painted fenders and forks. I know some people that have sx 's and they are beyond mint. These ones you cant buy for less than 1500$ nowadays!!

Southern Michigan and into Illinois has some pretty inexpensive trikes..it's my prime hunting ground. 'Tacker' was placing the price he would pay for an SX based on his local market..he's right on the money.

I see decent 250SX in that area regularly in the $450-600 range..I've bought two lower Michigan 250SX so far this year already one was $375, the other was $550 both were in decent shape though the $375 machine had some broken rear plastic. I missed a super clean original 86 that came on a custom built trailer for $850 a couple months ago..i was bummed!!

It's all what the region will pay..

Trikes down here are just never in good shape. That's probably why they sell a little cheaper. Everybody mud rides down here and most people use buggies and big ass four wheelers. The three wheeler is just played out I guess. The 250r and 350x are exceptions, but any of the big reds, 185, 200 can be had for pretty cheap. But like I said, they were probably rode hard and put up wet.
