Todays Barter deal, LT 125 for Snap On tools and goodies

So,,I'm one of these guys that has ran a shop and farm with Craftsman tools for decades. Maybe $300 invested{ 25 years ago} I've had Snap On and Mac tools traded in in sled tool boxes,,etc. Never saw the big deal,,literally. I love my Craftsmans, have only returned a few over the years,and Never had so much as a dirty look. ANYHOW!! I saw an ad on cl tools for barter. He had all these tools for trade on a project quad. He is 1 1/2 away. Drove down this AM. Also brought along a cpl Vintage gaming systems,,Atari/ Sega?? I don't even know. I had a quite nice 86 LT 125 4bolt. Updated tranny, new rears, not a crack anywhere. Ripped OE seat. It needed serviced and 2 fr tires and 1 fr rim. He kept asking me what I wanted to do. He could have told me these tools were over $1700 new,or $399, I wouldn't know the difference! So,i traded him. He had 2 sons,I think both challenged a bit,the younger one for sure. I told him I'd rather know they're using it ,rather than me mowing around it! It had just came in,and no,I hadn't even got it inside. As always,I told him to call w any ??'s or concerns. I know I'll be getting him some stuff down the road. He had just went through a Waverunner he got for $45, and got that out on the water,so he has the skills. So for all you expensive tool efficcinattos,,how did I do? I know I did good $ wise,I just wanted to make sure he was happy. He made the deal. And I said let your kids keep the game systems. The huge Snap On 1/2 drive has a brand new head kit.

Ben,,lol,, I was mowing around it! I bought it and a IT 175 with a nice FMF silencer,but welded,,for $85. Good customers who I had helped many times, They wanted the stuff out of the way. I wish the pics had came out. there are 2 , 1/2 ratchets,1 swivel MAC,1 Craftsman 1/4,1,I can't remember the name,,but the look ,feel and weight make the others look like garbage. it's new. 1, 1'4 in swivel Snap On,a cpl others,all S O..Snap on sockets 6-26 with bar. Craftsman standards 3/8,the good ones w stamps and grips. 1/4 deep well Craftsman metric. 2 new Craftsman Vice grips. Speed bar,screwdriver,Snap On gloves,Breaker bars,Standard 3/8 allens. NIB 3/8 SK knurled extension.. Kid in a candy store! I'll use them some,but frankly,,probably won't keep them. I thought I would,,but we'll see. MD,,lol,,funny you ask that! From a dealer buyout ,I have like?? 12-15 Snap On Swimsuit calendars from the 80's into 90's. Very classy stuff!! I've been gonna see what they're worth! I never remember too. How's the quitting going ?
