Nice, but not $1500 nice.

http://detroit.craigslist.org/mcb/rvs/3165287725.html

I got my 85 250ES non-OEM just 2 months ago very close to you and only paid $700 and yes I do have the side covers!!

151800.
Scary how much alike huh?

It sat on CL for a couple months while the seller slowly lowered his price until he got into the real world, then I went and got it. I thinks he also started at $1500.

The only difference between mine and yours in the speedo, nice extra but this doesn't bring it into the $1500 range!

So when you sit down, have a cold one and realize the phone is never gonna ring at that price, give me a call. I have room for another!!

That plastic tank knocks off like $300 if you ask me... I hate plastic tanks. It has aftermarket rear fenders with the molded flares instead of the rubber flaps, and what looks like the original faded side covers. There is like three shades of red on it.. LOL

Its in good shape, but not $1500 shape.

She's definitely no beauty queen(either one), but like Bill pointed out..she is bred for the trails and no getting my panties in a bunch over the little scratches!!

I'd buy it for $600. I'm not saying its not worth more, just saying what I'd pay.

def not a 1500$ machine! I would do probably close to 6 or 700$ for it though. Speedo is nice but on that machine its not like you will ever go above 20 mph with the gearing lol

I never did understand people putting the speedo on the big reds and the 110's and 125's. None were built for speed. Tripmeter. Sure. But the speedo makes sense on the x's and r's if you ask me. Just my 2 cents. Spend it how you like.

There is at least $100 worth of tire shine on it.

IF it ran well it maight be work $1000, but the engine would need to feel cherry and be quiet like a sewing machine

Nah, it's a regional thing..in Ontario $1000 wouldn't be out of line, but in Michigan it's still too much. Like I said in my 1st post I bought a machine that was a ringer for his about 15 minutes away from him about 2 months ago for $700...

That market is still pretty weak. If the guy got someone to give him $1000 he needs to buy lottery tickets!!

Not bad! I really really wish I would have taken pictures of where the bike had sat for 5-10 years. It was so sad looking.

anyway, sorry for going off topic, on topic, if i had the cash and was closer i would say $800-$1000 with ownership, around $600 or less without it.
