today i tryed to pull the flywhell of my atc 70 to get to the points and it wouldnt budge around the edge in the middle of the flywheel where the bolt goes in its got a weld bead going around it thats not normal right? the weld isnt where the bolt is but around the inside edge of the flywheel where the bolt goes i tryed using a set of jaw pullers and the started to bend under the stress and the flywheel didnt budge at all:(

Sorta feel for you buddy. I can't understand why someone would weld a flywheel when the nut is there.
I know it might be drastic- but i found this on e-bay, might help you out for christmas and all-

E-bay has a load of parts for you, but if only you could get that flywheel off. Best of luck.

Ive been gingerlly cutting at it with the dremel im going to try to get it off without destroying it then im going to put new points and all in it then im going to weld the flywheel back on at this point i dont have much of a choice ive allready spent close to 1,000 bucks on xmas stuff for my son allready so i really dont wanna spend more lol
Looks like the person lost the nut and instead of getting a new one they welded the flywheel on.

Yeah, either they lost the nut or a hammer was used to hammer the shaft through the flywheel the last time it was taken off. I did this once like a plonker and messed the threads up so the nut wouldnt thread back on, but very precise work with a hacksaw sorted that out.

I got the flywheel off and cant for the life of me figure out why it was welded on ,i cut the flywheel up a lil bit and i wonder if now it will be outta balance? since its missing some weight.
