I got rid of the 38mm mikuni on a tri z of mine and im wondering which one of these carbs would you recommend using for this setup: big bore (either from sprock racing or klemm vintage), ceramic coated piston and head, dry filmed piston skirt, bearings and gears. I'm planning on using this setup for the dune z im building. I was leaning toward the pwk but a buddy of mine runs a lectron on his banshee and he says its a really good carb.

I've never used a Lectron, but the guys I raced with (4cyl bikes) either swore by them or at them. I don't recall much middle ground. I do recall one guy that ran them told me "Never buy a used Lectron, people don't sell good used ones" I guess that could apply to other things as well, but aside from that there is a guy named Paul Gast that reps for Lectron (Fast by Gast) You may want to call him, but act like you already have a source for the carb or he'll try to talk you into buying one from him regardless of what is best. PS. You can't go wrong with a Keihin.

I have 2 lectrons...a 40 on my dirt trike and 52mm on my drag trike....they both work AWESOME....but you have to know how to tune them....your best bet is to call lectron directly and tell them what your set-up is...and they will tell you exactly what carb and what parts work best

Did you go with the lectron? If so what do you think?
