i was driving my atc down the road to day and i went into 2nd and about half way through the rev range it reved up and acked like it was in neutral. i shifted into 3rd and the same thing happened i really have no idea what it could be but my best idea is something in the clutch please help.

This is my first trike so this might be a stupid question but my motor mounts are broken could that have anything to do with it

Don't worry too much.
I used the search key for the word 'shift' and lots of stuff came up for all shift - ing issues.
Just went thru a couple 250 sx's but they gotta be similar.
Never heard much about 'internal' gear type issues so it's probably
something categorized as 'shift linkage' or similar.
bikebandit.com has the parts fische.
could be as simple as a loose or bent 'shift drum stopper'
like 10 bucks. and all that stuff is under the left side cover.
Someone will be awake soon and steer you in the right direction.
Please keep us posted as we ALL need to know what the problem is.

maybe try adjusting the clutch since it takes 27 seconds
and may give you a clue.
