Bike looks like it's in real good shape. I've never understood why people post things for sale on CL and then don't respond to correspondence from those interested in buying what they are selling.

Maybe your guy is not responding because he is waiting on the outcome of his eBay auction. He doesn't have a reserve on it and it's at $820 with 4 days left to go.

He says there's no title with it, is that something to worry about?

Not sure how your state is but in CA that is not usually good news. I mainly ride at Glamis, which is run by the BLM so there are always rangers out there making sure that vehicles are registered. If you don't ride at locations where "the man" is checking for reg it shouldn't be an issue.
I bought quad years ago that didn't have a title but I was going to keep it at our lake house (no rangers patrolling out there) so I didn't care. Thought that I would put in my name anyhow but when I checked the VIN with DMV found out that there was still a lien-holder on the bike. Dude financed it and never paid it off. Of course he didn't think to share that info with me : )
Now I would not buy another bike without proper paperwork. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.

Im in New England, and most of the states here just require a bill of sale. If there turns out to be a Lien holder, that is another issue entirely though, and I'd not mess with it.
