I just drug these two old Yamahas out from layers of covers, tarps, and pine straw. The covers and tarts did their jobs it looks like. I see very little moisture has gotten to these and almost zero UV damage. I have to make a decision on whether I try to restore them, or just cut them lose. I really like them, especially the YTM 200. That thing is in better shape than I remembered. I fear with our situation being what it is, I may have to let them go to a new home. I got all excited like I use to when I would find a trike I wanted to restore, so there may still be hope.

Very cool.

My experience with tarps is that on a sunny dry day, the only
place with moisture is on anything covered with a tarp.

Someone gave me a pretty nice 200, wrapped beautifully with plastic
and there wasn't any part of that poor trike that wasn't rusty.

That is true, if you do not allow air to blow through it. There were under some tress with literally three covers over them. Two soft truck bed covers and a tarp. Plus, the bottom was spread out in such a way that air could get in and out. I was expecting them to be much much worse. But it work out pretty good and they have been well preserved.

Yeah, they are simpler. I am finding that ou now. I canno wait until this damn 110 is done. Then I can get back to the YTs.
