Hey everyone.

I posted some pictures of the 1986 ATC 250 SX that I am restoring a few months ago. I just wanted to give you guys an update on the status of my project. Since my last post I have acquired a seat, storage compartment lid (also got a repro sticker for it), new swing arm (the old one was rusted out where the shaft boot clamp goes), a set of rear fender brackets, All Balls rear differential bearing kit, a used set of handle bars from a 250ES, a 250SX tail light (they have a unique shape to them and it was hard to find on ebay), wheelie bar, a new OEM Ohtsu tire (for the front wheel), left foot peg (the existing one was bent up pretty bad), an and OEM front fender (it's kind of rough looking) from ebay. The latest purchase that I made was an OEM metal gas tank that is the correct Shasta white and it has repro '86 decals installed on it.

Currently, I am in the process of rebuilding the rear end and detailing the bike. Once I get the rear differential rebuilt I plan on swapping swing arms and rebuilding the carb.

I will post some pictures of the progress that I have made with this bike. It was a total basket case when I bought it for $150!

Thanks for listening.

It might help all of us to follow your build if you put the updates in the same thread that you already started about it. To update the title to show progess has been made go to the first post, click on "edit post" at the bottom, then click "go advanced" and then you can edit the title to show you have updates as of such and such date and maybe the page # the updates are on if it is more than a 1 page thread.
