help me make the 250r run PLEASE

Well Its an 82 and it wouldnt start so I pulled of the carb and it looked clean but i still blew it of and let it sit in the cleaner over night, but it dont help, if i take out the sparkplug pour some gas in there it will fire right up for just 15-30 secends and then dies, or if i squirt some into the cylinder when carb is off it fires up and dies:(( the carb is as clean as could be?

By the way i checked the gas level in the carb and it seems to be just right when it fills up, and i try to blow the gas threw the jet and it goes right trough, it seems like it not sucking gas and i have no idea why that could be??

does this machine have a fuel pump ?? anybody???

Did you make sure your gas tank is vented? Check your cap. :-D

The reeds are good, and the plug is dry when i take it out, and the gas cap is good too:(( it dont halp with choke on or not the compression is a little over 120

well, the bike ran really good until this point. So, I'm guessing the jet is fine, and it does have the round part. I do get a steady flow of gas, and when I loosen the drain bolt, gas starts flowing. Same with the needle, I never messed with it and it used to run fine. But I will try lowering it. But the screws on the sides are at 2 1/4. The only thing is the vent lines, is it possible that I have them on wrong?
