crf 450r and crf250x

ok what do you guys know abotu these bikes> does anyone know much about the reliability fo the 250x?

I own an '07 450 and love it. I never thought I would find anything to replace my cr500, but I'm much more comfortable on the 450. If you do more woods riding than track, get the X, the R doesn't like to go slow and overheats fast. Plus I've heard the gearing on the X is much better, and they have a coolant reservoir so you don't puke out all your coolant. I've kept the 500 for woods. I've also heard the 450s are more durable than the 250s, mainly because you don't have to turn as many rpm's. Unless you weigh under 150 lbs, I'd get the 450. You don't have to use all the power of the motor, but it's there if you need it.

well i own both i have a 02 crf450r and a 06250x, and a 97 kx500 i do love them all for their own reasons the x is a good buddy bike the 450 feels really at home in the woods or the track and i tend to be fast in the woods, but for flat otu brutal power i loved the xr600 or the kx 500 on the hills and fast paced trail rides. but i do think i am a bit big for the 250x coincidering i am 6 foot tall and 250lbs.
