anyone tell me who made this particular item? maier?

I can tell you that Maier didn't make headlight guards. Unless they were plastic..

oh, just that I picked up a master cylinder guard in a similar style and that was boxed as maier...

hmm I have an 85-86 250r master cylinder guard that is plastic made by Maier..
Maier generally only made plastic things

this is steel and chromed. Still in box, labelled: Maier MFG.
will get some pics up of that.
I thought it was strange to unless maier was a dealer?...

Get some pics, I kind of collect old Maier things on the original shrinkwrapped card.. lol I'm curious..
Big Al's sold a lot of headlight guards.. as well as Trinity, White Bros., etc. They were all probably made in the same place and sold by these vendors..

Maybe that is who they shipped them to? The sticker on the box looks like a Maier sticker with the make and year the part fits.. hmm...
