hey guys, I just came back from 5 days of riding at Ocotillo Wells (southern Cal) and had a BLAST! Im so tired and it was worth every ache I feel now. There were LOTS of 250R's there too both air and water coolers. I rode with 2 water cooled R's at Blowsand Hill one morning, it was great to have 3 watercooled Rs on the hill at the same time! Saw a Tri-Z 250R at the hill last night, and a trick all orange early model R at Devil's Slide, it looked sweet with the orange paint and chrome pipe gaurd. Anyways, hope y'all had a great Thanksgiving! I know I did!!

sounds like you had a blast
my nephew and niece were there but me and the family went to superstition.
i want to ask you something that to me was kinda troubling.
did you notice and "increase" in campers this year?
superstition was packed, wild and crazyand we even seen a magnezium burning camp site
i hope that the increase patrols at glamis. plus with the higher fees are not pushing the scum elsewhere...LIKE SUPERSTITION
i know at ocotillo the patrols are out and all over the trashy ARSE holes that screw everything up for everyone else so maybe you didn't have that problem there
other than that thought looming over my head all weekend ..i had a great time....................

Well last year I didnt go on Thanksgiving weekend, I went the weekend before and the weekend after, but yeah there were ALOT of campers there this weekend, up and down San Felipe wash, even all the way out at Fault Wash. County Line Road, Occotillo Road, Wolf Well Road and Morton Road were all packed with tons of motorhomes and RV trailers, Main Street, Quarry, and Cove were packed too and there were even campers out at Shell Reef! Friday night I saw 3 accidents while driving the truck from Blow Sand to County Line Road and back. I was gonna take the ATC but didnt feel it was safe at that time with all the dust and high traffic at night, after seeing what I saw, I was glad to have 6000 lbs of metal around me on that trip!
Yeah Im thinking its only a matter of time before more troublemakers start showing up at Ocotillo because of all the enforcement at Glamis. Fortunately so far most of the peeps that go to Ocotillo dont need the law breathing down thier necks to make them obey the rules, but there are always those few.... I saw the Sherriffs in an unmarked SUV at Blow Sand, which is fine with me, and shows that they are making an effort to keep things under control. I've never been to Superstition but would like to go check it out someday, so far I havent because everyone I know goes to Ocotillo or Glamis. Glad you had a good weekend! :D
