I know most KLT 160 parts will fit on the 185, well at least I think so...? What I am really wondering though is will parts from the 110 fit on the 185, things like the gas tank?

Edit: I'm now pretty sure that the gas tanks are interchangeable but I would still be interested in knowing what other parts can be swapped.

More parts from an 86 110 will fit than earlier yrs. Nothing from the rear end (shaft vs chain). 85 or 86 fenders will exchange but only 86 had the trunks lids like the 185. I like to get on online parts stores, pull up both models and look up part #'s and compare. Careful if you need electrical parts. I bought a 160 stator for my 185 and the plug end is different, but coil is the same. What parts are you in need of?

I haven't gotten into it much so I am not 100% sure on what I need. Going to need a new tank, I started cleaning mine out and turns out the rust is all the way through in a spot, and some fenders if I can find them although mine aren't really that bad. Luckily the guy I bought it from had just boughten a new CDI and coil when he saw my wanted ad for a KLT so he threw those in fresh out of the mail. The main reason I was asking for compatibility is because a friend of mine is into the 110's and has alot of parts for them so when I get a chance I'll see if he has a good tank amongst other assorted parts I need.

Also to go with my original post, will things like brake and throttle cables work off of the other machines.

Which Klt rims are the same as the 185's? Does anyone make them still?

I believe the 1985 110,160 and 86 110 will be the same. I'll check my service manuals to double check.

Is that just for the rears? I was looking and think I saw that the 110 has a slightly bigger tire on the front so I am not sure if it is the same rim or not.

The 84 110 is different. But all the klts with the front suspension will be the same. 1985 to 1987 110,160,185 are the same.

I'm going to look at an klt 110 this week myself and I too was wondering what interchanges on the KLT's. I own Honda's, Kawasaki is a whole new world for me.
